Two of the finest gardens in England

Be Inspired by Wisley and Intriqued by Hampton Court

If you are a gardener that needs inspiration or even advice, RHS Wisley is a place to visit. Every environment is represented in the open or within several glasshouses on-site. Therefore, if you live in Texas or New England, there is something for you at RHS Wisley.

Your driver-guide will escort you around the 240 acres and show you the site's highlights. Your walking route will alter depending on the season: enjoy the spring bulbs in March and April, herbaceous borders in the Summer and wooded areas during the fall.

If the weather cooperates, it's an excellent idea to picnic on the grounds and people-watch. Some may prefer an expertly guided tour by RHS staff. Our office staff can arrange this service.

Hampton Court has grand Tudor interiors and baroque murals dating from the 17th century and 60 acres of formal, Victorian and wild gardens. The now-maturing Privy gardens were restored after staff discovered plans of King William's (1689-1702) elegant designs in the 1980s. See the magnificent mushroom-shaped yews, the long water and the Elizabethan knot gardens.

Never leave Hampton Court Palace without seeing the incredible Great Grape Vine, the largest in the world, planted in the late 18th century. It once produced over 2000 lbs of fruit per year.

If you have children touring with you may wish to get lost in the famous Hampton Court Maze. If you prefe a day of Royal Palaces choose Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace day tour.
